Volunteering with HOPE&WONDER
We offer two volunteer positions in Dar es Salaam/ Tanzania. Volunteers are essential for us, as they support us in our daily work with our children.
Are you 18 years or above and would like to work with children with severe physical and mental disabilities? Are you willing to spend at least four weeks with us in Tanzania? You don’t mind sharing your room with another volunteer? Have you carefully read the document volunteers_information?

Our application process is quite simple.

Your individual preparation workshop
You have never been to Africa and are interested in a personal preparation for your assignment with us in Tanzania? You have never been to Tanzania or even to the African continent?
You want to know more about the country, its people and get used to everyday life? You want to support Hope & Wonder, but you also want to get a lot out of your stay? Great! We have noticed that good preparation makes it much easier for volunteers to settle in and enjoy their stay here. That’s why we want you to prepare professionally for your stay here with us.
Elke Dieterich, the founder of «Manager für Menschen», has developed a comprehensive online workshop for HOPE&WONDER based on three modules. In this workshop you will be individually prepared for your stay in Tanzania, get to know the culture, possible challenges and thus enable you to join us in the best possible way. The cost of the course is EURO 199.
